Here is the document we constructed in class, which provides us with an overview of our accomplishments so far.
We need...
• more personal experience
• better sentence structure
• more of the opposing opinion
• to trust that our readers willl get it the first time
• more examples (showing, evidence)
• to show the pro side
• to take sides (advance an opinion)
• to persuade more effectively by putting more into the paragraphs
• to work on transitions within paragraphs
• to combine sentences to link thoughts
• integrate intro, body, and conclusion
• think carefully about outside statistics
• proofreading
We have....
• the ability to argue a point of view by being more specific
• good overall structure
• good use of personal experience, avoiding generalization
• the ability to condense our thoughts
• trust in the reader's comprehension
• more relevant topics
• found narrow precise topics in broad subjects
• storytelling ability to lead into the argument
• more proofreading experience
• a desire to narrow our focus
• word power
