  1. I removed them because you illegally used my email address when posting. I was advised to remove them and ban your IP address for that reason. Maybe instead of being a coward, you should own up to who you are.

  2. Ever seen a pyramid? I see you removed my comments dear Lou. Tisk tisk. Cannot even take a bit of honesty.

  3. I have mine. I know what mine are. Yours are concrete? I didn’t know they had concret in the days of moses.

  4. You seem to be questioning your own beliefs. Before you come and condem me, you should examine your own life. My values and morals are concrete. You need to establish your own before you dare to denounce mine.

  5. If that was the case, dear thing, then why hasn’t anyone rioted after a wrestling match? Why is it only soccer/football/hockey games that people riot and fight? Yet, in American 2 out of 3 those games aren’t violent. Can you explain that one? Maybe you’re just afraid that your religion is leaving you behind…

I still, and will continue to do so, maintain that anyway that christianity can save people is a good thing. The Crusades caused violence, as did the Inquisition, yet there are more Christians in the world today, because of that.

Maybe, with the way some zealot nutjobs are today, I should denounce Christianity and become a Wiccan or something.

  6. Old does not mean obsolete. Violence rather acting or real is still violenece and IT will beget more violence.

  7. From the Lord’s Church, eh? I don’t remember God or Jesus saying, “yeah baby! The Catholic church is the official church of God.” Sure, Jesus called Peter the rock of the faith, but not of a specific demonation of church. As for why i excommunicate myself, it’s because I don’t believe in the same thing that a bunch of old people do. I believe in the right of gay marriage, and of women priests.

And changes? What changes? Do I need to remind you of the Catholic church’s crusades against “infidels”? or the Inquisition? The church of the lord indeed…

Violence begets violence true, but when it’s fake violence, and it’s saving lives, what’s the big deal? I don’t see a big deal in people being saved–catholic or otherwise.

You’re keywords were: Because my views hold true to the OLD views. This is 2005, not 1005 AD or 13005 AD. Get with the times. Even now your church, in the form of President Bush, is fighting a “holy war” against what he and the rest of the fantical, zealot nutjobs consider to be “evil”.

    Three words: Get. a. life.

  8. Because my views hold true to the old views and the morals that many lack today, you think I am some fringe extremist, have you ever thought about examining why you are execommunicating yourself from the church of the lord?

As for the violence of the OT, yes there was violence, but at the same time, one must also look at the changes that have occured. There is no need for such acts now. Violence begets violence.

  9. ACII, I take it your one of those people that lives without a TV, or only watches channel 5 and the 700 Club right? You’re one of those people that only agrees with that Robertson guy, right?

Are you blind to the fact that there also Christian rock bands? Or that just because a person (in Godsmack for example) plays in a “pagan” rock band–that the individual is a Christian, and only does that so they can make money.

Wrestling is wrestling, it’s fiction and it’s not always about the violence. The right winged, conservative media is always going to portray something that doesn’t agree with them as being negative.

AC I is exactly right. In the Old Testament (which if it wasn’t for that testament or the whole jewish faith–there wouldn’t even be a Christianity) there was a heck of a lot of smiting by “God.” The pre-christian “God” was a violent being Him/It/Herself!

As for being a heathen, no sir/ma’am. I am a practicing member of the Salvation Army after self-excommunicating myself from the Catholic church. I am one with the Holy Spirit, the Father, and the Son–I just practice in a different way. I don’t agree with everything that the Catholic church or the salvation army says but at least I can call myself a Christian without being a nutjob.

  10. Wow ACII, you didn’t read the Old Testament very much did you? Seems to me there was plenty of smiting going on in there.

  11. You only want to cover the fact that you are one of those heathens trying to reach the kingdom of God through the partaking in the veiwing of violence. I feel the utter most sympathy for you. NO God will ever try and reach you through violence he may offer himself up to you to turn to in the times of violence, but he would not condone the use of violence to teach his message.

  12. This coming from a true Catholic….

If people come to God, or whatever, why would you want to take it away? I highly doubt God (or Jesus or Allah or anyone) is sitting up in heaven saying “Wow! Pro wrestling and Me…well time to smite the heathens…” instead he is probably saying, “hey more followers! That’s it my children lead them into the salvation..and hey..give’em a chairshot for me!”

As for the inmates, that is why Jesus died on the cross-to save EVERYONE for their sins. Did he not tell a criminal that was being crucified next to him that he would enter the Kingdom as well?

Why is it that when something fun and entertaining can also bring people into a “fold” causes the most “trouble” for the religious and zealous nutjobs?

  13. I find it hard to believe that this would really happen. I think it is a ploy to be able to watch violent actions as an immate. Put on the 700 Club if they want to really experience God. We (taxpayers) pay for inmates to be in prison. What do inmmates do one askes, they bulk up and talk about their crimes. Why should we now give them the priviledge of watching wrestling? That is what this is going to lead to. It starts off as one guy saying that Monday Night RAW is WAR gave him a spiritual connection to God. The next thing that we know we have violent offenders watching this same crap, hoping that the effect is the same. I say NO. We must stop this non-sense before it takes flight.

This is the ploy from husands everywhere, one more reason to skip church, one more reason to stay home on a Wednesday night. This is only going to lead us, as a world wide community farther from the loving arms of God. Why on earth would one allow such non-sense to prevail and take away the members of our spiritual kingdom? We cannot allow this.
