P2: Show Your Passion
Even though class will not meet, paragraph 2 is still due via Turnitin.com.
Write a vibrant paragraph that expresses your passion for something important to you. Rather than simply stating that you are passionate about having fun with your friends, and listing all the crazy things you did together last summer, focus instead on the one night that Richard bet Harriet that he could eat more pancakes than she could, and SHOW me how much fun you and your friends had, by letting me get to know Richard and Harriet so well that I actually care who wins the bet, and so that I feel like I am sitting in the booth next to you at Denny's at 3am. You won't actually need a sentence that says "I am passionate about having fun with my friends" if the whole paragraph SHOWS your reader what it was like to be with you during a specific incident. You might be passionate about skydiving or stamp collecting; rock climbing or reading. Whatever your passion may be, your paragraph should be specific and tightly packed.
