A Scheduled Quiz on As You Like It Sprang

Dennis G. Jerz / 10 Feb 2004

A scheduled quiz on As You Like It sprang
And caught some students unprepar’d today.
Soft-hearted me! I bargained with them thus:
They’ll blog in verse (as Shakespeare would have done),
And I will grant them an exten-si-on.

You’ve invented a new form: the “quizonnet”! Love it.

Actually, I used to give three “quizzams” — more challenging than a typical quiz, but simpler than an exam.

I can vouch for that one. When Dennis taught “Writing Electronic Texts” and nobody played all the way through the text-based games we were looking at, the quizzam scores reflected it, and I am glad to see that the quizzam is still used.

QUIZZAM! It sounds like something Emeril or a magician would say! :)
