I get having a taste for something largely for the nostalgic value of it. And I didn’t really intend to rain on your parade or anything- mostly I was just sharing one of those rare moments when I identified with Sheldon…(JIC you don’t know the reference, Sheldon is a character from the popular sit-com “The Big Bang Theory”

Mike, my wife and I got hooked on B5 during grad school. We didn’t get cable (and still don’t) so my sister would fill up a VHS tape with shows. We’d watch 6 episodes in a row as soon as a new tape came. The series creator wrote over half of the episodes himself, so the whole series functions as a unified narrative arc that really grew on me.
There is nothing classic about Babylon 5. I’m with Sheldon on that one- never could understand why some people love it so much…
