Dr. Jerz, I tried out the nut-graf that my peer reviser suggested for my Homecoming story, but I wanted to know what you thought. I'm not sure if I understand what you can put in a nut-graf, or how to go about grabbing the readers attention with this kind of soft news story.
Is not the nut graf the importance of the article? Important information information that you had left out in the first few paragraphs. You want the reader to continue to focus on your article.
