Best Practices
Write a long-ish blog entry that focuses on some theme in the book that is most relevant to you. You can think of this as an editorial, a traditional English theme paper, a personal goals statement, or (if you choose to apply some point to a current event) an opportunity for political or media analysis.
(I briefly had an April 8 deadline for this assignment, but that was a mistake -- it's April 14, as we discussed in class.)

Peer Interview
400 words. As assigned for Stormy's project.
Topic:
Field Trip Planning
I've asked Chris to finalize the field trip plans by today. We can spend some class time planning what we might do, and also discussing what ELSE we might do if it's not possible to visit the high schools as we had discussed.
Topic:
TBA
We'll use this time however the class feels is most productive.
Note that graduating seniors need to get their term projects to me by April 28 if they want feedback on a draft, and I have to submit your final grade on May 5. If we need to make special arrangments, now is the time to think about what they might be.

Portfolio 4
1) 400-word news feature on your contributions to The Setonian. Include quotes from at least three sources (for this exercise, one can be you).
2) Read and respond to this blog entry that coins the term "link journalism," relate it to your own experiences with The Setonian. (Length: about two pages.)
3) This fall, in addition to the usual Setonian practicum, the subject of EL200 will be coverage of the presidential election. I am conscious of the need to keep the subject of EL200 fresh since journalism students take it four times. What other topics for EL200 would interest you? (Length: A half page.)
