Forum 4: Emergence and Knowledge in the Digital Era
Presenters: Anchor your presentation in a deeper exploration of ideas examined in at least one essay from Writing Material that are not part of the required reading. Demonstrate your ability to use what you have learned so far to defend a non-obvious position on an issue that will teach something of value to the class. Draw the attention of the class to particular passages in WM that are not on the required reading list.
Suggestions from WM: Gibson, Gopnik, Landow, Lesser, Johnson, Sunstein.

I would like to present on this topic. Thank you.
Me too.
I would like to present on this.
I will be going on this day as well
I have to present this day, too.
My presentation will focus on Gopnik, Landow, and Sunstein from "Writing Materials."
My presentation:

I'm covering Lesser and Johnson. =)
So wait Kayla, Chris, Jeremy, Rachel, David and I are ALL presenting tomorrow??? I saw David's comment on the other entry for today...
Well hey presentations may be shorter but there will be some good discussion with so many presenters. That'll be refreshing.
I am also doing Johnson but I am specifically concentrating only on that essay. Im havin trouble with my internet conection so i am just goin to ask people to review the essay for the sake of discussion. I wanted to get this up here while I had connection for a bit.

I'm going to focus my presentation on some ideas from William Gibson's "Johnny Mnemonic." If you have time to read the story, great--if not, at least try to watch the movie trailer I've linked to in my presentation blog post so you get a sense of the basic plot and themes of the story. It's only about 2 minutes long.

Dr Jerz, I don't know what happened to my paper when it loaded into turnitin.com, but it certainly didn't look like that. It was perfectly formatted when I saved the copy before uploading. Content wise, that is what I wanted to turn in
My presentation focuses on George Landow. The move from the book to digital culture. My research is on smut, the move from the erotic novel to cyberporn. In a moral tasteful way.
Where do we post this on turnitin.com? The dates do not match up. Maybe I'm just to tired.
Daniella, I can download the same file you uploaded and if there are formatting problems I can see it in the format you expected, so don't worry about that.
Jeremy, I believe Daniella was talking about her term paper -- there's nothing required for you to to upload for the forum, but if you do want to submit something you can e-mail it.
Yes, today's going to be rushed, which is why we did our overview and reflection yesterday.
Prich, I'll cut Johnson out of mine since nobody is covering Lesser. It was an awesome read, though. =)
