The other crime article I chose to read covered the death of five South African students. The students were killed when their vehicle, which was taking them to school, crashed earlier today. An important quote from this ... Read More
I chose an article on a woman who ran a red light and subsequently died. There wasn't any fluff in this article. This let it be short, sour, and to the point. Even the quote, "Deborah Anne Greer, 36, died... Read More
...but I had to chose this article. Come on, with a headline like "Man Says Wild Sex Caused SUV Accident", you have to read that. However, I was sadly disappointed with the article. It seemed to follow the Gomez article's... Read More
I am not sure that what i read would actually be considered news articles. They both were a little short. They both reminded of the blurbs you see in the Post Gazette where they go around the different counties in... Read More
Readings (Gomez and your choice) The child...veered into the sports-utility vehicle, which was traveling north at about 20 mph, Thibodeau said. The driver attempted to veer left, but struck the boy and ran over his bicycle. (Gomez)... Read More
Hey what are the readings suppose to be?
Whoops, sorry about that. Thank you to those of you who told me this wasn't visible.
I read several accident reports. They were all laid out in the same style. In a few short sentences, I was able to visualize a picture of what had happened. In regards to the Gomez article, I thought that the report was acurate. Everything that needed to be in the article was. No filler but to the point. That is what and how accidents should be reported.
I agree with Jeremy, the accident report was short sweet and to the point. Although i am not an avid accident report reader, it was easy for me to visualize the accident also. The only piece of information that i thought was unneccessary was the color of the car, unless it was a hit and run and an onlooker saw the car, I don't think thats real important.
Dr. Jerz...i talked to you in class about how the info for whats due the next da doesnt show up on my comp. until the morning its due...and I wasnt sure if you had put anything up or not, but I dont see anything.
Michelle, thanks for the note. I wonder, are you looking on Wednesday's class page, hoping to find what is due on Friday? You should look on the date that the readings are due.

Ok Thank you, Im slow w/ this stuff, sorry. I dont know what I have been looking at but when i clicked on the link u put it worked so thank you very much!!
The Gomez story about the kid was a little weird. I thought they did a pretty bad job of portraying the real effect of all that happened. I mean all they did was hold the camera in front of the boy and you just watch him lay in bed and either say yes or no or just nod. It was very poorly done I think.
