Religion is Big News on the Net

  • I am also interested in cake decoration, but I do not know how lucrative that would be in the journalism profession...

  • Hey, wait a minute... don't call your personal attraction to the subject matter and your desire to work with certain professors a "surface reason"! Those are the most important reasons anyone can learn anything at a liberal arts school!

The fact that your minor will help your career should be icing on the cake, not the cake itself!

Okay, I'm being a little melodramatic to make a point...

  • Thanks for the link.

I initially wanted to pick up the minor for surface reasons: the extensive religious curriculum, the professors at SHU, and also my own interest and faith background; after reading this article and speaking with you, I am happy to find another, perhaps principal purpose of this new course of study: to further my journalism career. It is quite comforting to learn that my minor will come in handy.
