Does anyone know what we are supposed to do for this?

Jeanine, I'm sorry if this page wasn't clear, but the assignment is fairly straightforward, so there's not a whole lot to say about it.

I've posted a bit more. I also plan to return the other poetry worksheets in class Monday, so we will have plenty of feedback and time for discussion.

Does that help?

Do we have to use the same rhyme scheme as the poem we are paroding, or can the sonnent just be a parody on the subject of the poem?

I'm willing to be flexible. The closer the parody is to the original form, the more impressive it is (from a formal point of view), but if the content is good then varying from the form is OK.
