Term Project Presentation
An informal oral report, a reflective essay and all written material, are all due during our final class period, which meets during the time set aside for our final exam (8-10am, May 9).
Students who are graduating will need to complete this work by May 5 (which is the day I need to report your final grades). This means, if you want any feedback on a draft, you'll need to present it the week before.

Graduating Seniors -- Final Deadline
If you are graduating in May, I have to report your final grade today (May 5). This means you should arrange for me to see your work by Apr 28, so that I can give you feedback.
As a courtesy to your classmates, I would appreciate your attendance at the final exam slot (8am-10am, May 9) so that you can offer feedback on other class projects.
From the syllabus, here's a reminder on how I will score the final:

- Term Project (100 pts) -- Includes an informal oral report (20pts), and a project portfolio (which includes a final evaluative reflection (20pts), a one-page handout (20pts) to be distributed during the final oral presentation session, and my assessment of your contributions to the team project (include drafts, final documents, a log, or anything else that will help me to assess your work (40pts).)
Portfolio 4
1) 400-word news feature on your contributions to The Setonian. Include quotes from at least three sources (for this exercise, one can be you).
2) Read and respond to this blog entry that coins the term "link journalism," relate it to your own experiences with The Setonian. (Length: about two pages.)
3) This fall, in addition to the usual Setonian practicum, the subject of EL200 will be coverage of the presidential election. I am conscious of the need to keep the subject of EL200 fresh since journalism students take it four times. What other topics for EL200 would interest you? (Length: A half page.)

Update, Apr 27: Fixed broken link. (Thanks, Dani.)
Class Topic: TBA
We'll use this time however the class feels is most productive.
Note that graduating seniors need to get their term projects to me by April 28 if they want feedback on a draft, and I have to submit your final grade on May 5. If we need to make special arrangments, now is the time to think about what they might be.
