For EL200 first-timers working on the center spread assignment.

By today, you should have:
  • Several interviews conducted.
  • General idea for how your spread will be laid out. (You and a partner will share a sketch.)
  • Prepare for Wednesday's layout workshop. (Have sample texts and images -- even if they are place-holders.)

1b) Workshop Report (informal but detailed, practical reflection, 150 words)
  • Aja, reflect on your Setonian Online workshops. (What did you learn from the second try? How might a future EL200 editor build on your experiences?)
  • Maddie: due to the timing, your full reflection should wait until after you have completed the Setonian layout workshops. (What follow-up do we need? How might a future EL200 editor build on your experiences?) If you could have that in by next Monday, that will be great.

2) Action Item proposal
Propose an "action item."  A concrete, specific, practical thing that needs to be done for the long-term good of The Setonian.
(It might be a checklist for a procedure you find challenging, a new poster to hang on the wall in the publications office, an interview with someone who has a skill that you want to develop.)

(You will submit this "action item" as part of Portfolio 4. It should be something concrete that you can turn in and add to your own professional portfolio, rather than something like cleaning up the office.)
