April, I tried to comment on your blog but it wouldn't work, so I'm just going to post it here:
I agree that it would be great if newspaper could stop wasting their own space by blowing up headlines and allowing so much advertisement in. However, as you also mentioned, this would probably be impossible to get them to do because they like the visual affects of different headlines and they need the advertisement money. The short style of articles coupled with interesting headlines does seem to be effective, since a reader can be drawn into the article even while just browsing and receive a lot of information in a short amount of time.
