I grew up under the rule of military dictatorship. The press was under their control and those who raised their voices disappeared. Soldiers were in full dress everywhere. Those who were picked up by meat wagons after the 9:00 pm curfew you would disappear. If they were seen again, they were not the same. I was fortunate to have escaped the nightmare. I hope it does not happen in the U.S.
