My former student, Bobby Kuechenmeister, uses Ferris Bueller’s lesson on faking out his parents as an example to teach ethos, logos, and paths.
The last time I checked, most of my undergrads said they would probably recognize a Ferris Beuller reference, but in a class today of 9 only 3 raised their hands when I asked if they knew “The Karate Kid.”

A quick Sunday visit to #fortligonier with my history-loving son.
The choreographer daughter is doing a thing.
No interior yet. Getting there. Gotta start somewhere. Low-poly background detail for a medieval theater…

Hey, Dennis! Thanks for featuring my lesson using Ferris Bueller’s Day Off on your blog. I really appreciate it! I would expect Karate Kid references to be more prevalent since Cobra Kai’s been running on Netflix now.
Happy to share your work!
