For practice, I designed a few rocker switches that rock, with embedded lights that turn on and off, so that if I ever need a close-up of a button being pushed, or a warning light going on, it should be very easy to animate, either manually for a video clip, or through code in a 3D game engine.
But my immediate goal is to enjoy myself and to practice my skills, by churning out background details.
What fun! Do your control panels blink and flash and beep? Blinking and flashing and beeping! Oh my!
