Deni Rust, 34, of McCandless, continued her husband’s journal after his death, using the Web site he created to immortalize his writings, to establish a guest book where friends and family can share memories, and to post her thoughts as each day passes.
A year later, Deni Rust still struggles to live with her grief. Her Web journal has become part catharsis, part weekly update, part cry for help. Forgive the morbid thought, but this post reminded me that all blogs are destined to become "necroblogs" (is there a term for the blogs of the dead?) -- they will outlast us, as all writing does, and as the massive graveyard of abandoned blogs out there already attests. I felt sorry for the Rust family when I read this blog...and realized how blogging is a pale substitute for living.
