Four schools in the UK will be testing a new program idea to use video games for educational use. I’m filing this so I can get a sense of what kind of (mis)conceptions students might bring with them when they sign up for my videogaming culture course this coming January.
Yes, students will play videogames, but they will also read scholarly works, and write researched essays that I will evaluate on the same criteria that I apply to any other college essay. (And an academic essay is not the same thing as a game review.)
