A few weeks ago, I bought an audio recording of Great Expectations from thebestaudiobooks.com. I bought it from a handheld iOS device, and so I when I received the download link by email, I didn’t download it right away. The next time I was sitting at my laptop and remembered the link, it had expired.

I don’t actually need a Great Expectations audiobook, but for the price of a modest restaurant meal, I was happy to support the performer, B.J. Harrison, for his wonderful weekly free Classic Tales Podcast (which is currently serializing A Room with a View).

The same thing happened when I bought a copy of Treasure Island a while back — the link expired before I could download it, and I asked for an extension. I’m happy to report that this time, once again, the link was graciously re-activated.

Sorry to make you do that extra work, Mr. Harrison.
