Given the dominance of Hierarchical folders over the last 40 years, this is a major development in the history of information management. The article doesn’t deliver as much philosophical speculation as the blurb suggests… it’s actually a historical retrospective, rather than a set of musings about the future. But it’s still a good retrospective.
