Of course, if it were true, the sharks would get a lot better PR.
I found this article amusing. If only one could imagine that ice-cream was to blame for increased shark attacks. . .it would be so sad for all those beach-going, ice-cream loving people!

I like the one about how almost everyone has a greater than average number of feet.
Once again, the idea of correlation versus causation :) One of my favorites: hand size is positively correlated to standardized exam scores (that's because infants, with small hands, can't bubble in the bubble sheets very well) so Shaq should have a Ph.D. Also, as you pointed out to me, the Pastafarian tenet about piracy and global warming springs to mind.
