Hunter S. Thompson on the Music Business (Not a Real Quote)

I happened upon this page years after I posted it, and thought I’d look up the quote, which turns out to be fake.

“The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There’s also a negative side.” —Hunter S. Thompson –Hunter S. Thompson on the Music Business (QuoteDB.com)

It’s still a happy thought of the day.

  • Great quote. I can hear the cantankerous voice behind it -- so that means its good.

I'm trying to figure out why the hallway is 'plastic,' and why the first three times I read it I thought it said 'monkey trench' not 'money'. Weird.
