David Newell is one of the speakers at the TEDx talk at Seton Hill all day today. He recalled when his grandfather took him to see his first play, “Harvey,” and came full circle describing how he recently took his granddaughter to see her first play, The Sound of Music. He described the process of being interviewed by Fred Rogers, and one day taking Rogers to Eddie Murphy’s dressing room. (Murphy had a popular Saturday Night Live skit in which he portrayed “Mr. Roberts” — a spoof of the gentle show many of us grew up watching.)
