ME (a couple years ago): Okay, students. Get your iPads, go out there and record some interviews, edit them into a news story, and upload it to YouTube.

ONE OF THOSE FORMER STUDENTS (by email): I just accepted my first full-time job with vacation and benefits… for a position where I will be this company’s voice for their weekly webinars reaching over 1000 viewers. Even though in Media Lab the video making seemed tedious to some, those on camera skills helped me land a job of my dreams! Everyday I’m thankful for the foundation this program (new media journalism) gave me. Thanks again.
