This evening, I was out in the yard playing with the kids, when they
noticed the full moon rising above a house a little ways down the
street.

The student paper recently got a new telephoto lens, so I figured I’d see what it could do.
As it happened, my kids had been drinking red fruit juice, so they looked rather ghoulish as the moon continued to rise.
My daughter had drawn all over her face in order to make herself look
like a tiger. I don’t know what she was doing when she made this
expression, but it really fit the mood.
I took this photo without a tripod — I just clicked it, and did very minimal tweaking in Picasa.
I’m not sure I’ll be able to get up for the lunar eclipse before dawn on Tuesday… but if I’m up, I’ll be ready.

Lovely pictures. (Peter is getting taller, no?)
The eclipse was wonderful. I walked across the apartment complex where I live to see better, but it was still sort of cloudy. None of my pictures were that great, but I was happy to see it. I hear the next one is in February.
HILARIOUS and dark photos! I like the one of your daughter all scribbled over. Do you think the full moon CAUSED her to do this?
Rainer, you’re right — that was actually the day before it was officially the full moon.
Evan, I haven’t yet decided exactly what books to choose, but McLuhan is certainly on the shortlist.
Well, dag-blastit! I’d never thought I’d see the day… When the litblog was powered by MT.
Are you, by any chance, assigning Gutenberg Galaxy or Understanding the Media for the EL336 class? If not, well, you know how McLuhan started building his ideas…
That’s great photographies – but I think full moon is today, not yesterday !?
