Reginald Pike’s Yael Staav takes us from model to billboard in under 60 seconds in this impressive new spot from Dove.
A short film that might be very useful for sparking discussion in a class studying the effect of marketing on women’s body image. This advertisement is still banking on the power of the beauty myth to sell its product, but it does so in an unusual way.

I was amazed with this video and what adevertisements do to models and how they make the unrealistic look very real to young people that read and look at all these bill boards. It is crazy. I am glad that they put that out there it just goes to show everyone that looking that perfect cant be done without hours and hours of makeup and hair and computer nipping and cutting. We are perfect as we are that should be put out there. The girl was just as beautiful before all the adjustments.
That was Surreal! Holy Shit! I wonder how many people we work/live with that could make a transformation like that.
