Welcome Back, Blog (Jerz’s Literacy Weblog)
Dear blog,
I missed you while you were down.
Let’s take this opportunity to thank Will Gayther for helping me bring you back, and to thank those who e-mailed me to let me know you weren’t well.
Welcome back.

Just fyi to anyone wondering why it was down – it wasn’t one of those “upgrading” downtimes, or one of those “recurrent problem in the weblog” downtimes, or even one of those “we don’t know why it stopped working, but we rebooted it and it was fine” downtimes.
Instead, it was a “a single file bizzarely got corrupted somewhere between our machine and the server” problems.
On the one hand, it’s a good problem because it means I don’t have to try do debug it. ;-) On the other hand, it’s very unsatisfying, because I can’t debug it whatsoever. I can never say “I fixed it.” It’s just a “well, crap happens” problem.
