My coffee table is deep in kid territory. If you asked me what was on my desk or by my bedside, I’d give very different answers.
What’s on your coffee table?

Absolutely nothing – my coffee table is standing in the corner so there’s more room in front of the couch for my son to play with his Wii :)
Lots of paint cans. The living room just got a complete overhaul.
You had to ask when my coffee table is a complete *wreck*, but…
*Several DVD’s- including Superbowl XL, the Matrix trilogy, and seasons 4 and 5 of Ren and Stimpy (yay!)
*An Osho book on intuition (it’s lovely)
*My old hard drive, encased in the new Seagate box
*The schematic diagram for my 5.1 surround sound system (!)
*Guitar picks
*A card from Dr. Honeygosky inviting me to a conference (double triple yay!)
*A Crutchfield catalog
*An Easter card from my best friend
*One (1) lead pencil, and
*Lipton Green Tea with citrus and Starbucks dark chocolate covered espresso beans, presumably as an aid to any writing projects I feel inspired to take on.
Yeah, I need to clean that thing.
Well, since you asked…
-the latest issue of the Setonian
-today’s issue of our local newspaper
-7 books and 6 essays on Vladimir Nabokov’s Pale Fire
-my laptop bag
-a candy dish of yummy mints
-a large vanilla-scented candle (not lit)
Essentially since I don’t have a desk I stage a coup and take over the coffee table at my parents’ house on breaks… :)
